Watch House Season 1 Episode 17, Role Model

Role model is the 17th episode of the first season of the American medical drama series House MD. This episode was premiered on the fox network on the 12th of April during the year of 2005. The episode was written by Matt Witten and was directed by Peter O Fallen. This episode features the presidential candidate, Senator Gary H Wright following stokes after a small feud between Dr. House and Vogler had taken place. The nurse who attends this case is the medical advisor of the show.

The senator Gary H Wright is a presidential candidate and is an Afro American. He vomits and then he collapses at a fundraiser program. Vogler then makes a promise that he will not force Dr. House to fire Dr. Cameron or Dr. Foreman if Dr. House was able to provide treatment to the senator Gary H Wright and also if he gives a speech in a conference supporting the new drug that has been developed by Vogler. They begin to examine the senator and then Dr. Foreman spots a scar on the senator’s tongue due to an accident during his childhood. This indicated the presence of some neurological disorder.

They perform various tests and they found that the senator was suffering from AIDS. But Dr. House saw strength in the senator and this made Dr. House to go for a second test. These tests however proved negative. The condition of the senator becomes worse that there was no chance of carrying out further tests to see if the senator suffers from leukemia which Dr. House believes the senator is suffering from. Dr. House performs some viral tests and these tests indicate that the senator has been facing these problems from childhood epilepsy treatment.

The condition of the senator begins to improve. The senator then tells Dr. House that he still is going to contest for the president and he very well knows that he is not going to win. He wants to contest because it will only make the path for his followers a little bit easy than what it is now. At the same time, Dr. House meets a women in his clinic who complains of rashes and bruises with sexsomnia. Dr. House attends the conference and he delivers a very brief lecture that didn’t have much in it just to pacify Vogler. But Vogler was not happy with Dr. House’s effort and orders Dr. House to set it up or else he would force Dr. House to fire Dr. Cameron or Dr. Foreman again.

Dr. House then comes back to the podium and there he reveals the truth about the drug developed by Vogler. The truth was that it was an old drug and that the patent of the drug was about to expire and Vogler’s company are going to encourage the doctors to prescribe the drug developed by Vogler and company. All of Dr. House’s staffs were present for the conference and this speech created disbelief on Vogler but Dr. House sarcastically told Vogler that he just made a joke and left Vogler to speak to the audience. The same night, Dr. Cameron made her decision that she would quit and meets Dr. House in his apartment where she says that she is going to quit her job and says Goodbye to him.
