Daniel Bresson, a young priest, goes back to his apartment after closing his homeless shelter for the night. When he drinks a glass of scotch he hears someone knocking his door downstairs. He opens the door and is annoyed to see a bleeding Jesus-like figure hanging at the doorstep. His case is attended by Dr. House and his team. House asks Dr. Taub and Dr. Kutner to get an EEG for epilepsy and a CT for brain tumors. He sends Dr. Foreman and Thirteen to check the home for toxins. Dr. House himself feels that this is not a serious case.
Bresson denies that he was drunk. When Kutner asks why Bresson has been moving for years, he says that he was accused of molestation and hence the church has been moving him around since then. Meanwhile Cuddy invites Dr. House to attend her baby’s naming ceremony. Dr. House denies the invitation. The team decides that nothing is wrong with the priest and the hallucination was due to the drink he had. They decide to discharge him. However Bresson fears that something is wrong with him and begs to stay.
Meanwhile Dr. House asks Dr. Foreman to choose between his job and his relationship with Thirteen. Dr. House asks for a blood test of the patient to check for carbon monoxide. The patient is put in a hyperbaric chamber. Dr. House fires Dr. Foreman and he leaves. Thirteen meanwhile is worried about her dilemma and asks Dr. House if he can take Dr. Foreman back if she offers to leave. Dr. House says if Dr. Foreman is ok with it so is him. Meanwhile Cuddy succeeds in her attempt to convince Dr. House to accept her invitation. Later Cuddy learns that Dr. Wilson prodded Dr. House to accept Cuddy’s invitation. She wants him to uninvited House.
Meanwhile Bresson has a chest pain. He loses sight in his right eye. He begins shutting down. After several tests, the team feels the patient has AIDS. Bresson’s chest and face are covered with boil-like lesions. After a genetic analysis Dr. House finds out the actual cause for the problem. It is Wistook-aldrich syndrome which is a genetic problem that seems like AIDS. The hallucination was due to the Scotch.
Towards the end, Dr. Cameron advises Cuddy to invite Dr. House for the ceremony. Though she meets Dr. House she does not speak out. Meanwhile Thirteen finds Dr. Foreman at her house and they smile and kiss each other.
