During these tests, Jessica becomes very irrational and hypoglycemic. This forces the doctors to put her under sedation. The lab tests provide negative results for her being hypoglycemic. The team starts believing that she may be taking diet pills, but Vogler plays a few games to know what Dr. House's team is thinking. In addition, they find that Lucille is suffering from benign 30 pounds tumor. But Lucille refuses to go for a surgery thinking that it might make her look ugly. But further investigations revealed that she has been sleeping with other man who loved her body.
Meanwhile from investigations, Dr. House's team finds that Jessica has been taking diet pills. Jessica also admits that fact and they find her bleeding from necrosis in her chest. They think that radical mastectomy is the only procedure to be carried out so that she stops bleeding and to stop the spreading of necrosis. They make the necessary arrangements for her surgery and Dr. House's team believes it is the Cushing’s syndrome, which causes hyper cortisone levels that is responsible for these symptoms. The team then uses a MRI scan to find the exact location of the hyper cortisones.
They also detect the presence of a tumor in her pituitary gland that was responsible for all these symptoms. They perform a surgery to remove the tumor present in her pituitary gland and complete the surgery successfully. After the surgery, Jessica starts losing her weight slowly. House finally decides he is going to fire Dr. Chase and he meets Vogler with that decision. But Vogler refuses the proposal to fire someone other than Dr. Chase or that the whole department will be fired. The episode ends here leaving Dr. Cameron writing up her resume.
