The Storyline:

Sophia is a 16 year old girl who’s working at a factory and she is brought to Princeton-Plainsboro, the doctors are informed that she had clutched her chest and coughed blood. The team suggests that she might be pregnant and she might be involved in drugs. But Dr. Kutner does not believe either and she suspects something else. Dr. House instructs Dr. Foreman to put Sophie on beta-blockers and he passes the information to the others of the team and moves out of the place.

When the team investigated the house of Sophie, they find bong that might suggest drug usage. But Sophie says that it belongs to her boy friend. Meanwhile Cuddy hands over a case of a girl who is having blood vomiting and diarrhea. The girl’s name is Jonah. The team decides to page Sophie and while they were seeing Jonah’s digestive system through a camera Jonah started to giggle. In a MRI scan on Sophia, it’s identified that she’s lying. So when they asked her about it, she explains that she’s emancipated due to her father’s illicit sexual behavior towards her. It is aggravated by her mother’s silence to her father’s acts. And she gets into seizure.

Thirteen is instructed to give an anti anxiety drug to Sophie, her urine darkens in color indicating her critical level. They find arsenic in Sophia’s apartment and reluctantly they also find traces of arsenic in her body. When they take the arsenic out, she suffers an acute seizure and Dr. House decides that she is suffering from leukemia. And positively they find that she’s affected by acute promyelocytic leukemia. And Dr. House sets in search of her parents for donation of bone marrow for the bone marrow change operation. Later they discover that her name is not Sophia. The identity was stolen from someone. Yet, Dr. House is in search of her parents.

Meanwhile Dr. Foreman was having a tough time with Jonah. He then asked her brother and mother and deduced that she was given overdose of iron and sure enough the diagnosis matched and she was starting to get better as the treatment begins. Sophia was getting to a poorer state. Dr. House thought for some time and then spoke to her. He gave his opinion that she is not afraid of facing her parents for their fault but for hers. And reluctantly she accepts and reveals the truth that she killed her younger brother by drowning him when he was left in her protection when the family was on an outing.

Then Dr. House explains to Sophia that if she didn’t call for her parents then they would have lost their only remaining offspring. Then she comes to her senses and calls her parents and gets operated with the bone marrow of her parents. Also Jonah gets better due to the effectiveness of Dr. Foreman’s wit. And Dr. Foreman asks for clinical trials to Dr. House who approves it immediately and explains that he knew that Dr. Foreman’s a capable doctor and he was just waiting for him to tell him that he was ready.
