As an avid fan of House MD, I decided it was high time I wrote a blog about it! For those of you who haven't had a chance to see House, MD, you are really missing out on something awesome! House, MD, has already won awards and is an extremely popular TV series produced by the FOX Network.
It was first created in November, 2004. It stars Hugh Laurie, a 2006 and 2007 Golden Globe Award winnder and a 2007 Screen Actors Guide Award winner for Best Actor in a Television Drama. It has so far aired four seasons and the next season is going to start on September 16, 2008, so now is a good time to get caught up on all the old shows.

The basic story line behind House, MD, is following the life of Gregory House, MD, who is an incredible maverick genius in the medical field. He runs a special division of the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. The division's job is to take on cases where the diagnosis is unclear or unknown and then both figure out and cure whatever ails the patient.

Each episode follows the diagnostics team through the case as they attempt to identify and cure a patient's bizarre, unusual, or unknown illness.

House has a particular stubborn streak and refuses to do regular doctor work, despite the pressures of the hospital. He butts heads frequently with the hospital administrator, Dr. Lisa Cuddy, over treatment options or diagnostic techniques. A big controversy lies around Dr. House's abuse of Vicodin to treat his frequent and substantial leg pain. This is why he limps while he walks.

In Season three, during the season finale, Dr. House loses his entire diagnostics team due to various reasons. The beginning of season four focuses on Dr. House finding and attempting to hire a new diagnostics team, although the old team manages to all stick around at the hotel, contributing to the plot and events circling around House.
