Interestingly, the House, MD, theme music varies based on season and the location of the televised broadcast. The U.S., American, version plays a song called "Teardrop" played by a band named Massive Attack. Only the beginning and ending parts of the song are used, which have no lyrics.
However, most other countries use a piece of music called "House End Credits" During certain seasons, some countries have this tune written by Jon Ehrlich, Jason Derlatka, and Leigh Roberts. Other seasons and countries use a modified form of "House End Credits," which is done by just John Ehrlich and Leigh Roberts.
The DVD release of Season 2 uses the original American theme. This theme music is also used during the fourth-season finale throughout the episode as background music, accentuating the emotional issues on screen
